What can bag dump stations be used for?

When you handle powders or other dry bulk material, such as flour products, in your production line, you will undoubtedly have to deal with the release of a lot of dust particles. If you move bulk material from a bag, box or manually with a shovel, this almost always releases dust which can spread throughout the production area. Our dump stations offer the solution by significantly reducing the amount of fine dust being released. A dump station consists of a (partially) enclosed cabin, where a bag, big bag or box can be completely emptied by means of a dust extraction system or vibrating floor. Our dump stations also offer options to prevent bridging and have a lump breaker to make the loading of bulk material as efficient as possible. They can be used in a variety of industries where powders and other dry granular materials are handled often.

What advantages do Foeth's bag dump stations offer?

Your production process will benefit greatly from the use of a bag dump station. First of all, preventing particulate matter from entering the production area makes the space safer to work in. Even substances that are not intrinsically harmful can have adverse health effects when inhaled. In addition, dump stations are more ergonomically sound because bags can be emptied at the proper working height and in some cases provide additional work quality, by being able to mount a bag or box holder, for example. Second, using a dump cabinet will minimize product loss. Dump stations are highly efficient, which eliminates waste and thus will increase overall production. Finally, bag dump stations are easy to modify. Some of the dump cabinets in our stock are already equipped with, for example, a conveyor screw, which facilitates the feeding of the bulk material. Also, some are specialized for emptying big bags and have a dock mechanism for this purpose by default. Even the dump stations that do not come standard with an additional system often do have the option to be expanded in this way.
