Green power since 2023

In 2023, we will start a major project to neutralise our energy consumption as much as possible. Electricity, heat, and our vehicles are already or will be generated/powered in a sustainable way. This will ensure that we minimise our carbon footprint!

Force of the sun

We are working to install solar panels on the roofs of our premises in Barneveld (NL). We have flat roof space suited for 270 solar panels. By doing so, we will be able to compensate for our usage during winter. We are also planning to assume 20-30% more energy consumption, in order to be properly prepared for the electrification trajectory Foeth is on. Excess solar energy we generate will be delivered to the electrical grid of our network operator (Liander), ready to be used by other businesses and households. We have made all the preparations and taken all the necessary steps to install the solar panels, including the assignment of an investment grant by RVO (Netherlands Enterprise Agency). We are, however, now waiting for the network operator (Liander) to build the necessary infrastructure.

Benefits 270 solar panels

  • Compensation energy consumption while we are upscaling our business

  • Preparing to be fully gas-free by 2024

  • Working towards a 100% green-powered car fleet by 2030

Pump up the heat

Our buildings are already quite energy-efficient because we have taken several measures regarding isolation and LEDs. We are now planning to shift to an electric heating system (heat pump) to be able to be fully gas-free by 2024.

Electric ride

Many of our lease cars are already electric or hybrid. We are committed to having a 100% green-powered car fleet by 2030. Furthermore, we are replacing our conventional forklift trucks with electric ones, and are focused to electrify all our operations and internal transport.
