What are fluidbed dryers?
Fluidbed dryers are convection dryers in which an air stream flows upwards through a sieve bottom. There, it fluidises a particle layer, meaning that the particles keep moving. The individual particles are thereby completely flowed around by the drying air, whereby a highly effective and gentle product drying takes place. Fine product dust is retained by exhaust air filters and largely returned to the drying process.
