The specified Schmidt SIGMASTAR evaporation system with an evaporation capacity of 2.725 kg/h is designed for the concentration of adhesive water from an initial concentration of 8% TS to a final concentration of 36% TS.


The system is designed as a multi-stage evaporator. The product is pumped from the buffer tank into the sump of the plate evaporator of the first stage. The product rises in the spaces between the plates and is concentrated in the process. A cyclone separator is installed downstream of each evaporator to separate the liquid and gas phases. The liquid concentrate is pumped to subsequent stages for further concentration, while the vapors are used to heat the next evaporators.


From the last stage, the product concentrate is pumped out of the system; the vapors are directed into a condenser where they are condensed using cooling water.


The system is fully CIP (Clean-in-Place) capable. This means that all parts in contact with the product can be cleaned without disassembling the system.


The multi-stage setup and the use of a vapor compressor (TVR) ensure low steam consumption.


The evaporation process operates under vacuum. A vacuum system with a water-ring vacuum pump is provided for the generation and maintenance of operating vacuum (included in the scope of delivery).


The system is delivered complete with all necessary measurement and control components.
