The strength of operations at Foeth
As Manager Operations, Marijn Verkuil ensures that the processes within the workshop and logistics run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. His role is broad: from technical, logistical and operational issues to team dynamics, facilities, maintenance, inspections and permits.
A broad role in operations
Within Foeth, Marijn is responsible for the workshop, logistics, facilities and inspections around the company. He is also involved in the operational side of Intimac.
His work revolves around identifying, switching and solving. One moment it is a technical challenge, the next a logistical issue or team coordination. Through this broad involvement, he helps keep processes moving and ensures quality is maintained.
From arrival to delivery
The operational process starts as soon as a machine arrives at the unloading area. The machine is unloaded, cleaned, photographed and filmed so that it can be presented properly. It then gets a place on the site until it is sold.
After the sale, the machine goes to the workshop. There it is thoroughly tested and repaired where needed. It is then prepared for transport, including the right packaging, securing and documentation.
No machine is the same. Dimensions, weights and technical challenges differ from machine to machine, which means the process requires flexibility from both a logistical and technical perspective.
Growing together with quality and passion
To make everything run smoothly, clear communication, good systems and clear agreements are important. But according to Marijn, it mainly starts with a strong team that knows what needs to be done and with what level of care and quality.
What gives him energy is that no day is the same. Switching quickly, solving problems and making decisions are all part of his work. Sustainability also plays a role: every machine that Foeth prepares for reuse does not need to be newly produced.
To someone considering applying at Foeth, Marijn says: “Do it! This company is unique in its products, teams and job satisfaction.”
