What are Nutsche filters?
Nutsche filter, also known as Agitated nutsche filters, are industrial filters used for solid-liquid separation of suspensions by cake filtration. During the filtration process (either by pressure above or by vacuum below the filter bottom or by a combination of both) the filter cake builds up, which is constantly smoothed by the height-adjustable stirrer. The filling with suspension and the filtering can be repeated until the maximum filter cake height is reached. After completion of the filtration, it is possible to apply the washing cake to the filter cake or even to reslurry it in the washing liquid and to wash and filter several times.
In filter dryers, the agitator is used during the drying of the filter cake for continuous movement of the solid to accelerate the heat transfer and drying. Agitated nutsche filters can also be used for extraction with subsequent filtration.

Vacuum slide and agitated vacuum chute
A type of nutsche filter that does filtration by an applied vacuum below the filter bottom. Recommended for highly compressible filter cake. A combination with overpressure above the filter bottom is possible.
Filter dryer and vacuum filter dryer
Combination of an agitated suction filter and a dryer. In the case of the filter dryer, the outer wall and in some cases also the stirrer are designed to be heatable. If the heating jacket is used as a cooling jacket, crystallization processes with subsequent filtration can also be carried out by using this process equipment.
