Netzsch Gerätebau - Company and Divisions

The Netzsch Group is a globally active mechanical engineering and technology company based in Selb, Bavaria. Its history dates back to 1873 when Thomas and Christian Netzsch founded the company, initially manufacturing fire engines and agricultural equipment. Over the years, the product range has continuously expanded, leading to the establishment of branches worldwide. Netzsch is still a family-owned company today, with its product and service portfolio divided into the areas of analysis and testing, grinding and dispersing, and pumping and systems. These three divisions operate as independent companies under one holding. The entire group is now present in more than 35 countries and has sister companies in the United States, Russia, Brazil, and China, among others.

Machines by Netzsch Feinmahltechnik GmbH

At Foeth, you will mainly find process machines from Netzsch in the grinding and dispersing sector. Within the corporate group, the responsibility for this product division lies with the subsidiary Netzsch Feinmahltechnik GmbH, headquartered in Selb and Tirschenreuth. The offered solutions include machines for wet and dry grinding, screening and separating, mixing, dispersing, and homogenizing. Concrete examples of these machines are classifier mills, bead mills, dissolvers, and butterfly mixers. They are primarily used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food industries. Typical application areas for equipment in the grinding and dispersing division include the production of medication, paints, adhesives, flour, and chocolate. For example, dissolvers are mainly used for dispersing paints, and stirring vessels can be used for suspending and emulsifying, among other things.

Other Solutions by Netzsch Group

The other two business areas of Netzsch Gerätebau also offer solutions for the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries. In the pumping and systems area, this includes displacement pumps, technologies for emptying and dosing, as well as size reduction systems. Concrete examples of pumps are rotary lobe, eccentric screw, and screw spindle pumps. These are used, among other things, for conveying and dosing liquid or viscous media. Size reduction technology offered includes perforated disc mills and dual-shaft shredders. With the analysis and testing product division, Netzsch provides solutions for thermomechanical analysis, such as tests for thermal conductivity or refractoriness. These technologies are relevant, for example, in the pharmaceutical sector for examining the thermal stability of medications and in the chemical industry for the production of seals, adhesives, and polymers.
